This Privacy Policy explains how MailPerch ("MailPerch", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use getmailperch.com and the MailPerch platform (the "Service"). We take privacy seriously because the entire point of MailPerch is to protect sender reputation and handle contact data responsibly.
MailPerch operates the Service and is the data controller of the account information you provide to us. For the contact lists and recipient data you upload or generate inside the Service, you are the controller and we act as your data processor — see "Customer data" below.
Account data. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and optional company name.
Customer data. The email lists, contacts, landing-page submissions, campaigns, and related data you upload to or create within the Service. This may contain personal data about your own recipients (names, email addresses, and any fields you add).
Usage data. Basic technical information such as log data, device/browser information, and actions taken in the app, used to operate and improve the Service.
Payment data. If and when paid billing is enabled, payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
We use account and usage data to provide, secure, and improve the Service, authenticate you, communicate service-related messages, and provide support. We process customer data solely to deliver the features you use — verifying, segmenting, sending, and reporting — and on your instructions. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your contact lists for our own marketing.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis (such as consent) to process the recipient data you bring into MailPerch, and for honoring opt-outs and applicable laws (e.g. GDPR, CAN-SPAM). MailPerch provides tools — verification, suppression, and one-click unsubscribe — to help you do this, but you remain the controller of your recipient data.
We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to run the Service. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Customer data is retained while it exists in your account; you can delete contacts, lists, and campaigns at any time, and we delete account data after account closure, subject to legal retention obligations and backups that age out on a rolling basis.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with per-account isolation enforced at the database level (row-level security). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures.
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@getmailperch.com. If your request concerns recipient data held in a customer's account, we will refer it to that customer (the controller).
We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Our providers may process data in regions including the EU (Frankfurt) and the United States. Where data crosses borders, we rely on our providers' lawful transfer mechanisms.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
